Grounded in the principle of "feeling-thinking," our programs translate climate justice into community infrastructure, solidarity-based diplomacy, and sovereign interconnection for the peoples who safeguard the planet's biological heart.
Program: Energía Renovable Originaria (ERO, Spanish)
Indigenous and Afrodescendant-led renewable energy capacity-building initiatives in Colombia, which have been carefully co-designed and collaboratively developed through a partnership between Indigenous Clean Energy based in Canada and the Glocal Grassroots Movement of Movements Foundation located in Colombia, aim to empower local communities and foster self determination and sustainable energy practices
Towards Energy Self-Determination in the Global South
- Promote the energy self-determination of ethnic communities in the Global South, within the framework of a just energy transition
- Its objectives are based on a holistic approach that integrates ensure human security, climate justice, territorial peace, and economic sustainability into the ancestral territories
- Strengthen community capacities through training and access to local technologies, such as Community Connectivity Points.
- Promotes solidarity between Indigenous peoples in Canada and ethnic communities in Colombia
- To consolidate autonomy, energy sovereignty, and the capacity of communities to define and implement their own long-term energy projects at the same time they strength culture.

Project: A World of Wahkohtowin (Wow)
In partnership with Indigenous Clean Energy (ICE) and the Métis National Council (MNC), a knowledge exchange was facilitated among Métis citizens, representatives of organizations from Zambia, and representatives of ethnic groups from Colombia’s Caribbean Islands and Amazon regions.
Understanding climate change through the feeling-thinking of ancestral territories
- In Colombia, WoW’s initiatives are implemented in five ethnic communities located in two of the continent’s regions characterized by exceptional biodiversity, environmental importance, and ecological fragility:
- The Colombian Amazon: Operations within the country’s largest indigenous reserve, protecting at least 6 million hectares of tropical rainforest.
- The Insular Caribbean: Activities situated within the Seaflower Biosphere Reserve.
- Territorial Immersion: Technical and cultural assessment conducted within the ecosystem itself.
- Dialogue with Guardians: Knowledge-sharing forums with the territory's spiritual and ancestral authorities.
- Traditional Governance: Spaces for technical and political coordination with community governing bodies
- Institutional Diplomacy: Coordination and political dialogue with the Ministry of Mines and Energy, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Embassy of Colombia in Canada.

Program: Ancestral and Solidarity-Based Diplomacy: Peoples and the Global Agenda
Ancestral and Solidarity-Based Diplomacy is our overarching model for internationalism, policy advocacy, and high-level intercultural dialogue. We are building horizontal bridges of solidarity and sovereignty among communities belonging to the Sixth Region (the African diaspora), First Nations (Indigenous peoples), and communities that are revitalizing their collective memory. To contribute to their participation and leadership in the global agenda.
Ancestral and Solidarity-Based Diplomacy: Peoples and the Global Agenda
- Establish a permanent international conference of peoples belonging to the Sixth Region and First Nations, aligned with the global agenda.
- Contribute to redefining and reshaping solidarity-based diplomacy among peoples and advancing actions for sustainable development from a Global South perspective (the Americas, Africa, and Asia) but in connection with communities across the world.
- Drive the public policy agenda for this century's global transition—starting with the 2030 Agenda—drawing on the perspectives, organizational structures, and experiences of communities belonging to the First Nations and Sixth Region.
We co-create methodologies for historical reparation, energy autonomy, and biocultural resilience with grassroots communities.
Documentary & Project: Roots of the Water
It is a record of the environmental restoration efforts led by our women, who have taken up the mantle of defending the territory. As guardians of water sources, they not only restore the physical watercourse but also reweave the spiritual bond between the community and the land, demonstrating that true wealth does not glitter in banks, but rather in the depths of the river they protect, restore, and set free.
